There are several entrances to Dosewallips State Park. To find the trail to the platform, look for a gravel road immediately north of the Dosewallips river bridge. The road leads down to a flat grassy area, you will see a ranger residence and grassy field beyond it with a large interpretive sign at the trailhead. Dogs are permitted but must be on leash. Wild elk frequent the area, and can easily kill a curious dog. Please keep pets leashed and children supervised.
Park hours in Summer: 8AM to 10PM, and Winter: 8 AM to 5PM. The viewing platform is accessible all year. The trail out to the platform is flat and well-maintained, with several interpretive signs along the way about different elements of river habitat and the importance of the different natural features you can see.
