The Emerald Towns Alliance presents the ever popular, annual Memorial Day Weekend Fjord Fest – a weekend festival in Brinnon celebrating Hood Canal Spot Shrimp and other local seafood. It lures hungry shrimpers from all over the Northwest to fish Hood Canal’s rich waters.
For all the details, including vendor application and rules, please visit the website, listed below.
The Fest is open from 10am-6pm Saturday & Sunday Memorial Day Weekend and features craft booths, food booths, belt sander races, exhibits, a beer garden, live music, kids’ activities and so much more! Founded in 1993, proceeds from Fjord Fest are donated to community projects and organizations including the Brinnon School, the Brinnon Volunteer Ambulance & Firefighters Association, the Brinnon and Quilcene Community Centers, as well as many other local projects.
The tides are usually low enough during this weekend for easy harvest of clams and oysters on the public beaches near the festival, (license required) and the weather is traditionally good during this holiday weekend. This is great family fun!
Fjord Fest takes place north of the Yelvik General Store and south of Cove RV Park & Country Store at 303375 US Hwy 101, Brinnon, WA 98320. This is where highway 101 meets the north end of the Hood Canal. Check out their website below.
