Join us every third Thursday* of the month for an informative presentation on disaster and emergency preparedness. Each session will focus on a different topic and outline steps to prepare for various emergencies, including winter storms, earthquakes, and wildfires. (*The June presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, to accommodate the Juneteenth holiday.)
Tonight: Natural disasters can temporarily disrupt water services and food systems. Jameson Hawn will share information about water sources in East Jefferson County and offer tips on storing water in case of an emergency. Dave Seabrook and Crystie Kissler will talk about the significance of community networks in enhancing food resilience and adapting to climate change. They will also explore ways households can strengthen their food resilience.
