Come hear spooky stories from the intertidal! We're turning our giant pile of skeletons (aka our shell pile) into a family friendly Halloween experience the last weekend of October & the first weekend of November. Come out for lunch and take your kids over to the shell pile to learn about intertidal biology and how the tides operate.
What's this? Sea Cucumber guts, Sea Star mobile stomachs, and Drill Snails galore - oh my! Come to learn about the truly creepy critters of the intertidal.
Walk through our Tide Tunnel, exploring how life in the the tideflats changes from day to night, low to high. Don't get caught without shelter at lowtide, and watch out for the grunt fish!There will be activities, candy, and coloring pages. Target audience is 5 to 10 year olds & their families.
The Haunted Shell Pile will be open Saturday October 26th, Sunday October 27th, Saturday November 2nd, and Sunday November 3rd, from 12 to 3 pm.
