For local residents of Quilcene and Brinnon new to gardening and experienced, this delightful club connects you to other passionate gardeners and local experts.
Club membership is an annual $10. The club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 1PM at the Quilcene Community Center. To become a member, please join us at a meeting.
The Club’s annual fundraiser, the Memorial Day Plant Sale, is a big event that allows the Garden Club to distribute profits to food banks, school libraries and scholarship funds, and as extra support to community members who have experienced tragedy. The Quilcene-Brinnon Garden Club has a strong tradition of giving back to the community!
The main goals of the Quilcene-Brinnon Garden Club are:
- To assist whenever possible to beautify our town and byways
- To make donations back into the community
- To provide supportive social and educational connections for local gardeners
The club has officers that are elected annually. Members receive a colorful guide booklet, meeting agendas and minutes, a monthly raffle with fun prizes, and enjoy guest speakers and presentations at the meetings. Revolving volunteer members provide decorations and delicious refreshments for members. At several times during the year, the club gathers for an amazing garden and nursery tours, potluck events, an annual picnic, field trips and more.
